Sustainability

Wood is our most sustainable raw material. As a building material, its credentials are unparalleled. Wood results in far less carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere than competing building products.
 
Not only is wood lightweight, with an excellent strength to weight ratio, it also has excellent thermal conductivity. As trees grow, they absorb carbon and create oxygen through the process photosynthesis.
 
When harvested and sawn into solid wood, carbon continues to be stored.
